What this page is

This page collects named mission leads that appear in public trailers, community catalogs such as GTABites and reporting about early development footage. It is deliberately separate from the confirmed-aware missions list: a lead can be useful for research without being canon.

“First public evidence” means the earliest source we can responsibly identify, not necessarily the first time anyone discussed the scene. Where the original timestamp cannot be reconstructed reliably, the table uses a month or names the later catalog instead of inventing a day.

What each source proves

Lucia in Leonida Penitentiary

  • Source: Trailer 1 and Rockstar’s Lucia profile.
  • What it proves: Lucia was imprisoned in Leonida Penitentiary and is out before the central story described by Rockstar.
  • Unknown: The playable introduction, mission title, release sequence, objectives and rewards.

“Sinfrontera bank robbery”

  • Source: Trailer 2; the “Sinfrontera” label is used by community catalogs including GTABites.
  • What it proves: Official footage shows Jason and Lucia participating in a masked robbery scene.
  • Unknown: Whether this is a standalone mission, its canonical title, its place in the story, crew, approach and payout.

Hank’s Waffles diner robbery

  • Source: Public reporting about the September 2022 development breach, later organized by GTABites.
  • What it proves: A diner robbery scenario and related systems existed in an early development build.
  • Unknown: Whether the scenario ships, whether “Hank’s Waffles” remains the final name, and which mechanics survive into retail.

Port Gellhorn mission sequences

  • Source: Rockstar’s official Port Gellhorn location material plus early-build reporting.
  • What it proves: Port Gellhorn is an official Leonida location; development footage associated criminal scenarios with the area.
  • Unknown: Final mission names, order, triggers and whether the reported sequences remain attached to this location.

Vault chase scene

  • Source: Trailer 2.
  • What it proves: Official footage includes a vehicle towing or dragging a vault-like object through city streets.
  • Unknown: “Fast Five-style” is a fan comparison, not a Rockstar title. The parent mission, controls, approach and outcome are unpublished.

These records deliberately separate a visible scene from a mission database entry. The GTABites page also lists side activities, which we keep on the activities list rather than adding them to the story total.

How to use the index

  1. Treat officially shown as story context, not a mission database entry.
  2. Treat reported as a lead that needs a dated source and independent confirmation.
  3. Treat unverified and speculative as unsuitable for completion tracking.
  4. Promote a row only when the retail pause menu, an official guide or a Rockstar announcement supplies the exact title or mechanic.
  5. Record whether a heist setup, approach and finale share one mission ID before counting them separately.

Our editorial rule is simple: a lead moves to confirmed mission only when Rockstar names it or the retail game exposes a reproducible mission ID. Official footage alone can confirm a scene while leaving the mission title and structure unknown. That distinction is the main reason this index exists.

Why there are no individual pages yet

A standalone mission page needs an independent search intent, at least three verifiable facts, matching media and a clear boundary between confirmed and reported material. Most pre-release names fail that test: they are fan labels attached to a trailer shot or one early-build clip. Splitting every row into a page would create thin pages and make speculation look authoritative.

When Rockstar publishes formal names or the game launches, this index can become a hub linking to individual walkthroughs. Until then, use the missions guide for note-taking and the leak verification guide for source checks.

Limits and FAQ

Is this an official Rockstar list?

No. It is an editorial index of public reports and official footage.

Why include leaks at all?

Because players search for them. Clear labels let readers investigate without confusing a development build with the retail game.

Can I use these rows for 100% completion?

No. Wait for the in-game checklist or an official completion guide.
